Maple Syrup Diet - Beyonce's Diet Secret Revealed

Who doesn't love maple syrup? It is a main export of Canada, it goes great on pancakes and it livens up any breakfast dish. However, did you know that it can also be used to help you lose weight?

This diet is used by celebrity singer Beyonce Knowles, who endorses the diet completely. Using the diet helped her lose several pounds in two weeks for her part in Dreamgirls, last year. This diet consisted of eating nothing for 2 weeks, and only drinking detox drinks that consisted of syrup mixed with water, cayenne pepper and lemon juice.

The syrup she used was Madal Bal Natural Tree Syrup, which is made from maple and palm trees. While it may seem like a new diet, it actually has its origins 30 years ago, when it was created by naturopath Stanley Burroughs. The Maple Syrup Diet has claimed to cleanse the body of toxins, improve immune systems and concentration, increase energy and create cleaner skin.

Typically, the Maple Syrup Diet can be made by mixing two tablespoons of the syrup with two tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice and a small amount of cayenne pepper, combined with a glass of hot or cold water. You can drink as many as six to nine glasses of this drink.

When choosing which of the detox plans to go with, you can choose the full detox that means drinking the detox drink for 10 to 14 days, the relaxed version that has involves substituting a meal with the detox drink; the once a week version that has you skip food for one day to drink the detox drink, or the Master Plan, which is a bi-annual, multi-day detox plan that is combined with detoxing once per week.

This plan can seem like it is far-fetched, but in fact it can be used to help you lose weight, and fast.
